Cashmere fabric

Cashmere

Indulge in the Ultimate Comfort and Warmth with Our Sustainably Sourced Cashmere. Derived from the undercoat of Cashmere goats native to Central Asia, this fine wool is highly sought after for its exceptional softness, light weight and warmth. Our Cashmere products are made from premium undercoat wool, ethically sourced and produced with a focus on the environment and animal welfare (as per the info given to us by our manufacturer). Embrace the luxury of cashmere, with a clear conscience. Click here to view test result regarding microns. Certification received by the manufacturer.

Handwoven Mulberry Silk

We has sourced handwoven and hand-painted mulberry silk stoles from women's self-help groups based in Bihar. By supporting these groups, we try to empower women by providing them with income-generating opportunities and offer our customers high-quality, ethically-sourced products.

Note: In line with our environmental and ethical values, we intend to phase out the production and sale of non-peace silk (Mulberry silk) products. We will continue to sell our remaining stock until supplies last.

Vegan Silk (Cupro x Modal)

"Vegan Silk" – Our Sustainable Fabric Choices

Our commitment to sustainability and transparency led us to select two exceptional fabrics for our scarves:

  1. Cupro Fabric, also known as Bemberg, is a unique and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional silk. It's exclusively owned by Asahi Kasei, and its production process is rooted in sustainability.

  2. Liva Modal, created by Birla Cellulose, is derived from beech tree pulp and offers an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic fibers. It's known for its closed-loop production, reduced chemical use, and renewable sourcing.

Note: Since we are a small-scale brand, we are unable to use the Liva and Bemberg brand names because we do not meet the quantity and other certification requirements.

Our Packaging

Our packaging aims to minimize environmental impact through recyclable, biodegradable, or recycled materials. By prioritizing eco-friendly packaging, we hope to inspire others in the industry towards a sustainable future. Currently, the cotton bag includes a woven polypropylene fabric in the fold, which is the only plastic element in our packaging, but we are going to phasing it out.

Some of our packaging also includes a silica pouch made from silicon dioxide, a compound naturally found in sand. While we are actively seeking better alternatives, this is currently the most sustainable option available to us for moisture control.

Labels

We demonstrate our dedication to the environment by exclusively utilizing organic cotton labels and printing with environmentally conscious dyes. Although this approach may result in some fading of our printing and brand mark, we prioritize preserving the planet over promoting brand recognition. Please be assured that any fading in color is an indication of our commitment to eco-friendliness and not a sign of reduced product quality.
